The Christian County Colonels swept a pair of high school soccer matches Saturday at Webster County.
In the first match, Valentin Gonzalez scored on an assist from Christian Lopez in the 33rd minute and the Colonels held off Bullitt Central 1-0.
Mason Malone had the shutout in goal with six saves, including two diving game-saving stops.
In the late game, Erwin Macario scored in the eighth minute and the Colonels poured it on to defeat St. Mary 8-0.
Zack Dawes, Jensen Nolte, Noah Davis, Leland Creamer and Wyatt Fleming all scored for the Colonels, who led 5-0 at halftime.
Alex Hale had a pair of goals and an assist and Davis had two assists for the Colonels, who also had assists from Malone, Micah Samford, RJ Nolte, and Zamien Matlock.
Malone had the shutout in goal.
