The Madisonville Miners advanced to the semifinals of the Ohio Valley League playoffs Wednesday night with a 5-3 win over the host Paducah Chiefs.
The Miners, who are the fifth seed in the tournament, will take on top seed Henderson at 6:30 p.m. Friday night in the first of their best-of-three series.
The championship series is scheduled to begin Tuesday night.
