In a game played in a downpour at times, the host Paducah Tilghman Lady Tornado defeated Christian County 9-1 Tuesday night in a girls’ high school soccer match.
Paducah dominated play at the midfield and possession most of the game, according to Christian County coach Peyton Moshier.
Carliah Hobson scored the only goal for the Lady Colonels (0-1). Jayda Turner turned away 13 shots on goal.
Paducah broke open a close 2-1 game at half with seven goals in the second half.
The Lady Colonels return to play Thursday night at home against Logan County at the Stadium of Champions.
