Shorthanded HHS falls to Trigg County

Hopkinsville traveled to Cadiz a little shorthanded Monday night for a girls’ high school soccer match.

The Lady Wildcats took advantage of three Lady Tigers being out with concussions and shut out Hoptown 4-0. Jaleigha McFarland had 18 saves in goal for Hopkinsville, which slipped to 10-8-1 on the season. Jaycee Shanklin had a hat trick in the JV game, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Wildcats prevailed 5-3.

The Lady Tigers will honor its seniors tonight when they play host to Butler County in the second game of a boys’-girls’ doubleheader.
