South Warren ends Colonels’ win streak at 5 games

Christian County saw its five-game winning streak come to a halt as host South Warren scored six runs in their first two at-bats and held off the Colonels 6-4.

Gage Montes started on the mound for Christian County and suffered the pitching loss. Aiden Lewis pitched four innings of scoreless relief and allowed only one hit and struck out seven.

Montes and Sebastian Dazey each had a double for the Colonels, who slipped to 6-2 on the season.

The Colonels return to action at 6 p.m. Tuesday against South Warren at Colonel Field.
