Hopkinsville had one wrestler reach the podium over the weekend at the KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Lexington.
The Tigers’ Jaylin Littleton finished eighth in the 165-pound division and completed his season with a 28-5 record.
Littleton went 3-3 in the tournament, including 1-2 on Saturday. Littleton lost to Central Hardin’s Samuelu Hazelwood 4-1 in the consolation semifinals and then dropped the seventh-place match by fall at 3:31 to Taylor County’s Kennan Shively.
The only other Tiger to compete at the state tournament was Juan Cannon, who went 1-2 in the 120-pound division.
Union County won the state title with 305.5 points, followed by Johnson Central (192.5) and Paducah Tilghman (170).
