The Hopkinsville Tigers’ three-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado 82-75 Wednesday night at Tiger Gym.
Hoptown led 21-13 after one quarter, but Paducah responded in the second period, outscoring the Tigers 27-16 to take a 40-37 halftime advantage.
Ahmad Wilkins scored 19 of his 30 points in the first half for the Tornado.
James Bradley Jr. kept the Tigers in the game with 19 of his game-high 35 points in the opening half.
The Tigers, who had won five of six games, trailed 61-58 entering the final frame, but Paducah outscored Hoptown 21-17 to pull away for the win.
Jonovan Leavell had 13 points and Jayon Bass added 11 for the Tigers, who fell to 11-14 on the season.
Miles Woodford had 22 points and Owen Mikel added 15 for Paducah, which improved to 14-10.
The Tigers return to action tonight at home against Hopkins County Central. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with the F&M Bank Pregame Show scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Newsradio 99.3 FM and 1230 AM.
