All four city schools played in a four-team golf match Thursday afternoon at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
University Heights Academy picked up the team win with a score of 176, two shots better than Hopkinsville. The Blazers’ second team had a 185 and Christian County finished with a 208.
Individually, UHA’s Bryson Turner was the low medalist with a 41 through nine holes. Teammates Jackson Flynn and Waylon Johnson finished second and third with a 42 and 43, respectively.
Other Blazers on their first team included Nash McAfee (44), Drew Fields (49), and Courtland Gibson (51).
Will Nahlik played as an individual for the Blazers and had a 52.
Joining Johnson on the second team for the Blazers were Jackson Crick (47), Jordan Logan (47), Cody Robinson (48), and Michael Flynn (50).
Matt Baker, Henry Riggs, and Ryan Martin led Hopkinsville with a 44.
Other Tigers playing on Thursday included JB Payne (46) and Sam Riggs (52). Hoptown players as individuals included Aiden Riley (55), Landon Hollimon (62) and Alex Naylor (63).
Heritage Christian Academy, which did not have a team score, was led by Cruz Egbert’s 46. Sawyer Lexey carded a 63.
Drew Fincham had a 47 to lead Christian County.
Other Colonels on the team included Chris Adcock (48), Reed Ezell (54), Cansler Wells (59), and Jaedon McMillan (60). Clayton Dixon played as an individual for the Colonels and carded a 57.
In the girls’ match, UHA swept the top three spots. Campbell Lindsey shot a 39 to take individual honors. Caroline Tucker finished second with a 42 and Ella Perry was third with a 43.
Allie Sandifer carded a 47 as the Lady Blazers shot a team score of 171.
Christian County’s lone golfer, Anslee West, carded a 59.
