University Heights Academy will try to continue its run to the Region 2 All “A” Basketball Tournament championship as the Blazers will battle Dawson Springs tonight at Fort Campbell.
The first semifinal game is scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m. The second semifinal will feature defending champion Lyon County (8-5) against Crittenden County (1-15) at 7:30 p.m.
UHA and Dawson Springs met last month with the Blazers prevailing 51-50. The Panthers missed several three-point shots in the final seconds in that game.
UHA advanced to the semifinals with a 73-64 win over Fort Campbell on Tuesday night. Dawson defeated Livingston Central 67-59.
Lyon County routed Caldwell County 80-43 and Crittenden County broke a 51-game losing streak dating back to 2024 with a 68-48 victory over Heritage Christian Academy to reach the semifinals.
The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday at Fort Campbell.
The girls’ Region 2 All “A” Semifinals were played on Thursday night with Lyon County knocking off Crittenden County, 54-51.
The Lady Lyons will play Caldwell County for the region title at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dawson Springs High School. The Lady Tigers defeated Livingston Central, 53-43, Thursday night.
