University Heights Academy’s track team competed in the Class 1-A KHSAA Indoor Track and Field State Championships on Tuesday in Louisville.
The Lady Blazers’ 4×200-meter relay team of Ajae Oatts, Amoree Owen, Palin Hampton, and Kendall Hancock took third place with a time of 1:53.04. The 4×400-meter relay team of Ajae Oatts, Amoree Owen, Palin Hampton, and Kendall Hancock was fifth in 4:31.79.
Individually, Hancock took eighth place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.98.
For the Blazers, Ryan Luckey ran to a fifth-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.17 seconds.
Graham Conrad also was eighth in the 1,600-meter run in a school record of 4:46.28.
The Blazers’ 4×800-meter relay team of Zech Davis, Ronan Croney- Sallie, Jude Finch, and Graham Conrad) ran fifth in 9:06.34.
The 4×400-meter relay team of Luckey, Ronan Croney-Sallie, Jackson Estes, and Graham Conrad, was 10th with a time of 3:49.75.
