University Heights Academy’s Ajae Oatts continued her standout senior season by taking a pair of third place finishes in the prestigious Invitational of the South high school track meet Saturday in Benton.
Oatts took third place in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes to lead the Lady Blazers to a 10th-place finish with 25 points.
Calloway County won the girls’ team title with 175 points, just ahead of McCracken County (139.5) and Clarksville Northwest (59).
The Lady Blazers’ 4×200-meter relay team finished second.
Palin Hampton earned a pair of top 10 finishes for the Lady Blazers. She took eighth in the long jump and 10th in the triple jump. Cassie Keller was 10th in the long jump.
Amoree Owen ran to a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter dash and Emma Flynn took 10th in the 800-meter run.
In the boys’ race, the Blazers’ best finish came from Ronan Croney-Sallie, who finished 10th in the triple jump.
UHA’s 400-meter relay team was sixth and the 800-meter relay team finished seventh.
Marshall County won the boys’ meet with 134 points, followed by Clarksville Rossview (79) and Henderson County (75.75).
The Blazers finished 18th with 15 points.
