Former University Heights Academy pitcher Thomas Hallmark has committed to play at Brescia University, according to Blazers’ Head Baseball Coach Michael Crow.
Hallmark, who just completed his senior season, is a 6-foot-4, right-handed hurler who helped UHA win the All “A” State Tournament and advance to the KHSAA State Baseball Tournament quarterfinals.
He went 2-0 with a 4.27 ERA with 29 strikeouts and 18 walks this season for UHA. He joins his Blazers’ teammate Ryan Luckey at Brescia next season.
Hallmark had key innings of relief in the Blazers’ All “A” State Tournament quarterfinals against Owensboro Catholic and during a comeback win over Madisonville-North Hopkins the Region 2 semifinals.
Hallmark is the grandson of former Hopkinsville High School basketball coach Daryl Hallmark, who coached the Tigers to the 1985 KHSAA State Basketball Tournament championship.
