Heritage Christian Academy opened its 2025 baseball season by falling to host Whitesville Trinity 11-5 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Raiders jumped out to a 7-1 lead after two innings and pushed the advantage to 9-1 after three.
However, the Warriors began chipping away at the lead and got as close as 9-5 entering the bottom of the sixth frame.
The Raiders took advantage of seven HCA errors to pick up the win.
Jayden Nichols suffered the pitching loss for the Warriors. He gave up three earned runs and struck out nine over six innings.
Tycen Wells went 2-for-4 to lead HCA at the plate. Ethan Miles added a double and stole two bases.
HCA is scheduled to play host to Community Christian on Thursday afternoon.
