Warriors finish 18th at Logan County Cougar Run

Heritage Christian Academy’s cross country team participated in the Logan County Cougar Run on Saturday in Russellville.

The Warriors took home an 18th-place finish on the course, which they will run on next month in the Class 1-A, Region 1 meet.

Leading the way for the Warriors on Saturday was Aaron Hensley, who took 48th with a time of 20:06. TEammate Cadyn Travis was 61st with a time of 20:49.

Apollo won the team title with 66 points, followed by Union County (95), and Graves County (113). HCA finished with 446 points.

Ben Hensley took 115th in 23:05. Other HCA runners included Ryan Goforth (168, 27:48) and Kollin Stokes (177, 30:09).

Genna Calhoun was the lone Lady Warriors’ runner in the Girls’ Varsity Race. She finished 90th in 31:22.

In the Boys’ 2,000-meter Middle School Race, Oliver Casilas led the way for HCA with a 20th-place finish in a time of 9:48. August Casillas was 40th in 12:01 and Colton Struble crossed the finish line in 45th place in a time of 12:20.

Jackson Rains ran 50th in a time of 13:12 and Richard Roberts took 51st in 13:15.

In the Girls’ 2-Mile Middle School Race, Jovie Hensley ran 13th in 17:21.83.
