2025 marks strong year for Donate Life Kentucky organ donor registry

Donate Life Kentucky Trust had one of the strongest years on record for Kentuckians who signed up to join the cause and became organ donors in 2025.

According to a news release, more than 75,000 Kentuckians joined the donor registry and more than $1.7 million raised to support the lifesaving mission. Right now, more than 1,000 Kentuckians are in need of a life-saving transplant, and each new name on the registry increases their chance for survival.

With each dollar raised, the Donate Life organization helps provide necessary access to care, and helps make living and travel expenses affordable for patients and their families. Additionally, Donate Life Kentucky Trust helped donor families with funeral and memorial needs through their Donor Family Support Program. They also provided more than $20,000 in scholarships for Kentucky students who wanted to creatively express their donation and inspire others to register as donors

For their 2026 goals, Donate Life Kentucky is dedicated to providing 24/7 access to factual information regarding organ donation, improving their website and other forms of communication.
