4th Fest kicks off in Madisonville on Friday

4th Fest and Praise in the Park is one of the largest music festivals hosted in western Kentucky and it takes over Madisonville City Park this weekend.

The fun kicks off on Friday and continues through Sunday. Each day, the gates open at 3 p.m. and the concerts start at 5:30 p.m. Madisonville Deputy City Administrator Brad Long says Friday is their Hip-Hop and R&B night and the concert will include performances by Quad City DJ’s, Sugarhill Gang, Color Me Badd and ALL-4-ONE.

On Saturday, Long says country and rock acts Myles Gee, Ashland Craft, The Lacs and The Band Perry are putting on a show. Following the concert, Long says the sky with light up with a fireworks show to celebrate Fourth of July.

Then, the fun continues Sunday with Praise in the Park, and the music lineup includes Don Ready, Megan Woods, Josh Baldwin and Ben Fuller. The summer heat is expected to continue into the weekend, and Long says they will have plenty of water stations set up at the festival where folks can cool off.  

The festival is set to include over 20 food and beverage vendors, as well as a variety of merchandise and boutique vendors. Long says they will also be selling 4th Fest and Praise in the Park T-shirts.
