The City of Hopkinsville is putting out the call for community input and celebrating recent investments in the community.
Speaking with WHOP News Friday morning, City Public Information Officer Amanda Brunt says they recently celebrated with the Lincoln Real Estate Development Group as they unveiled the first of their new homes, which were made possible through a partnership with the Hopkinsville Land Bank Authority.
They’ll start with 15 lots and put homes on them, with plans to further develop housing in Hopkinsville, which is much needed. The Lincoln Real Estate Development Group is a company run by African Amercian men who are dedicated to improving the lives of people by providing affordable, efficient and sustainable housing.
Brunt says it’s a boon not just to the citizens, but also to the City, as it turns those properties into assets.
The City is also looking to create a new logo that represents the people of Hopkinsville and Brunt says there is a survey up now on the City of Hopkinsville website that people can fill out. She says they’re hoping to get a wide, diverse pool of input to reflects Hopkinsville’s diverse public.
