Two arrested, charged in Pyle Lane fight

Two people were arrested on Pyle Lane in Hopkinsville Saturday following a reported stabbing during a fight.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to an apartment in the 1100 block of Pyle Lane around 7 p.m. Saturday for reports of a fight where a man was stabbed. Upon arrival, contact was made with 23-year-old Marquee Brasher and 21-year-old Peri Brown, both of Hopkinsville, who had allegedly gotten into a verbal altercation inside of an apartment.

Brown told police that Brasher had started punching her in the face—Brasher told officers Brown had kicked him between the legs, sparking the fight. During the fight, where others in the apartment where attempting to break it up, Brown allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Brasher in the arm. 

Both were arrested—Brown is charged with second-degree assault and Brasher was charged with fourth-degree assault.
