Hopkinsville man charged following foot pursuit on East Second Street

A Hopkinsville man is facing charges following a foot pursuit that occurred near East Second Street Sunday afternoon.

According to the report from the Hopkinsville Police Department, officers were patrolling in the area of East Second and South Virginia Street when they made contact with 41-year-old Bobbie Dupin of Hopkinsville. It was confirmed that he had an active warrant out for his arrest, but when officers attempted to take him into custody, Dupin allegedly fled on foot.

Dupin ran east, crossing South Virginia Street and almost being struck by a vehicle, before being caught a short time later in a field between East Second and East First Street.  Officers reportedly had to jump a fence, damaging their clothing.
