Man arrested after allegedly stabbing step-father

A Hopkinsville man is facing several charges after he allegedly stabbed his step-father during a disturbance on Wooldridge Road Saturday.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to the 200 block of Wooldridge Road to investigation a disturbance and investigation revealed that a suspect, 22-year-old Bryson Brown of Hopkinsville and the victim had been in a verbal altercation that turned physical.

Brown allegedly pulled a knife during the altercation and attacked the victim, cutting his left ear. Brown then fled the scene and was located a short time later.

A search of his person reportedly revealed several items of drug paraphernalia and he allegedly told officers he had had a knife. 

He was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, illegal possession of a legend drug and possession of a controlled substance.
