The Hopkinsville Regional Driver Licensing Office is officially back open at its permanent location at 901A South Main Street, after being closed for some time due to extensive storm damage.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, the closure came after a severe thunderstorm passed through the area on June 4 and dropped roughly 11 inches of rain at the location, causing considerable flooding damage that resulted in a necessary closure for repairs and cleaning.
Services took place at a temporary location, but now, the office is back open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Customers are encouraged to park in the lot at the corner of Ninth Street and Main Street.
