The Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s to set to trace its way through downtown Hopkinsville on Saturday, with the festivities getting underway at the Christian County Justice Center that morning.
It gets underway at 9 a.m. Saturday morning, but coordinator Martha Steil says there still plenty of time to get involved, whether that be by registering to take part in the walk or by signing up for a team to help raise funds.
She says all money raised go towards research into Alzheimer’s, with the hope of one day finding a cure.
Steil says the disease affects more people than you may realize, including in Christian County, and this event is not only a way to raise funds, but to also remember those who have past and celebrate those who continue the fight.
This year’s walk carries with it the hope of raising $60,000 to benefit the cause—for more information, or to donate, find the Pennyrile Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Facebook.
