One hurt in Lafayette Road collision

A Hopkinsville man was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Burley Avenue and Lafayette Road. 

According to the Hopkinsville Police Department collision report, a vehicle driven by 66-year-old Bobby Brown of Hopkinsville was stopped at the stop sign at Burley Avenue, when he pulled forward, not seeing another vehicle operated by 27-year-old Octavian Killebrew of Hopkinsville that was heading south on Lafayette Road. 

Brown reportedly pulled into Killebrew’s path and the two collided. 

Killebrew was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of neck pain and Brown was not injured.  Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
