KYTC District 1 welcomes Dillard as new public information officer

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1 Office now has a new public information officer, following the retirement of longtime PIO Keith Todd.

According to a news release, Carrie Dillard began her duties on November 1, and she succeeds longtime PIO Todd, who served both the District 1 and District 2 offices at some point from 2004 until 2024.

Dillard has a background in journalism, with 14-years of experience at Kentucky newspapers, including the Paducah Sun, the Sentinel-Echo and the Union County Advocate. She previously served as the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Programs and Public Policy Director.

Dillard says, “I’m honored to be able to serve Western Kentucky in this role, and I know I have some big shoes to fill. I first met Keith Todd in 2006 as a young reporter in Union County, Ky. He was a tremendous resource for me personally and, of course, to every citizen living in District 1 and 2.”

District 1 includes Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Crittenden, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg counties.
