There will be several chances of rain in store for the region this week and weekend, with moderate temperatures in store.
While the week has started bright and sunny, the chance for heavy rain moves into the region Wednesday, and Lead Forecaster Keith Cooley with the National Weather Service in Paducah says some places could pick up a couple inches of rain.
After that, there will be a couple of days of sunny weather—giving just enough time for things to dry out some before another rain system moves through this weekend.
Cooley says they’re not anticipating any severe weather at this time. Then, in the 8-to-14 day outlook, it’s looking like above average chances of precipitation and trends for normal to above average temperatures.
