The Christian County Festival of Trees is set to take over the James E. Bruce Convention Center this year, all to benefit a great cause.
The event is hosted by the Pennyroyal Center and this year they’re moving to the Bruce Center, and it’ll be full of grandly decorated trees, representing numerous agencies, businesses and sponsors from across the area. Organizer Zoe Edwards says these aren’t you’re average Christmas trees—people go all out on the decorations.
Attendees even have a chance to take one of those trees’ homes, if they purchase a raffle ticket while touring the festival. Tickets are $1 and gets you a chance at winning a tree—the event itself is free to attend.
Edwards says they are still looking for tree sponsors, so if you’re interested in sponsoring or decorating one, give her a call at 270-886-2205.
All money raised goes right back into benefiting the Pennyroyal Center and their many programs that help citizens right here in the community.
People will be able to admire the trees and even vote for their favorites, to see who wins the Battle of the Trees. For more information on the Festival of Trees, you can find the Christian County Festival of Trees on Facebook.
