Hopkins County Tourism rakes in 12 Traverse Awards

The Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission in celebration mode, after receiving 12 Traverse Awards for Excellence from the Kentucky Travel Industry Association. 

Five of those awards were Bronze, including for the Holidays in Hopkins, the BBB Region Tune-In Campaign, the West Kentucky BBQ Belt, the Great Big Kentucky Adventure, and West Kentucky BBQ Belt Website.  Then in the Silver category, the won for the new HCTCC “Experiences” Website Page, the West Kentucky BBQ Belt seasonal campaign, the BBB Region Tune-in Promotional Video and the Great Big KY Adventure PR initiative. 

Then in the Gold category, they were awarded for the Great Big Kentucky Adventure website, influencer video and the digital campaign.

Executive Director Tricia Noel says, “We are grateful to the KTIA for recognizing our team’s success and giving us the opportunity to showcase our work on such a grand stage. These awards represent continued collaboration between our tourism partners across the state! Winning 5 bronze awards, 4 silver awards, and 3 gold awards is an incredible achievement, and it motivates us to continue to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in our future marketing campaigns.”

Kentucky travel and tourism businesses and marketing organizations vie for Traverse Awards in 11 categories. A panel of out-of-state tourism industry experts judge the Traverse Awards.  Award criteria include concept, creativity, results and impact.
