Cold temperatures to linger this week, minor snow impacts possible tonight

Our chance of snow looks to stay fairly small in the Christian County area to start the week, and then it looks like things are going to dry out and get sunny for the rest of the work week.

That’s according to Meteorologist Kate Shawkey with the National Weather Service in Paducah, who says it’s going to stay cold this week, with only a brief warm up on Wednesday that will cool right back down for the latter half of the week.

Then in the 8-to-14-day outlook, it’s looking like our cold snap will lift, with temperatures evening back out to near normal and the chance of precipitation in the average range—though what that precipitation may look like remains to be seen.

In their long-range outlook, the National Weather Service reports seeing no trends that would point towards in wintry precipitation in the coming weeks at this time.
