The Holidaze Community Festival is coming back to the Bruce Convention Center on Monday and folks are invited to come and enjoy some holiday festivities.
The festival will be hosted by multiple local organizations such as the Christian County Public School System, Planters Bank, Hope’s Healthcare, Rural King, the Christian County Literacy Council and many others.
Francene Gilmer, the executive director of the literacy council, shares that in comparison to last year several more organizations are involved in making this year’s festival come to life. Gilmer says each participating organization is hosting their own holiday activity.
Gilmer says kiddos attending can craft their own Christmas village, make pancake art, write letters to Santa Claus, decorate cookies, participate in a group story creating exercise and much more.
This is the third year the festival has been hosted and Gilmer says it’s their goal to have more people show up for some fun than last year.
The festival is free and open to families and their children ages zero to 12 years old. The festival will take over the Bruce Center from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
