Morton’s Gap man hurt in Pennyrile Parkway crash

A Morton’s Gap man was hurt in a two-vehicle crash on the Pennyrile Parkway early Monday morning.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, the collision happened near the 17-mile-marker just after 4 a.m. when a vehicle operated by 28-year-old Daniel Jackson of Morton’s Gap was heading south at the same time another vehicle was parked in the emergency lane on the south side.

The report states that vehicle was not clearly visible due to a lack of lights and other reflective markers.

As Jackson was passing the car, the side of his vehicle struck the side of it, running him off the right side of the roadway.

Jackson was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
