A young entrepreneur is blending Kentucky’s tradition with innovation through her one-of-a-kind hot dog cart.
Savannah Crick is a senior at Madisonville North-Hopkins High School and runs 1792 Cattle Company Cafe, and with an idea to combine her appreciation for her agriculture roots and the rich history of production in the state, her business was born.
Crick has been able to leave a mark on her community with the support of the Kentucky FFA Shark Tank grant–an opportunity for the organization to invest in future Ag. leaders. This isn’t her only experience with FFA, as Crick is currently serving her 3rd year on the local FFA officer team and says the organization has shaped who she is today.
With just a year and a half of experience under her belt, Crick is already looking towards the future. She says 1792 is the year Kentucky was founded and she hopes to use that as a tool when expanding her business.
One of Crick’s missions with the brand is to source her 100% beef hot dogs and condiments within her community, which is a choice she sees as another way to support the individuals around her.
