Hopkinsville police are investigating after a stolen vehicle was found in flames on Old Concord Lane Saturday night.
According to the police report, the victim had parked her car outside of a gas station on North Main Street and left it running while she ran inside. When she returned, her vehicle was gone.
An unknown suspect had taken the vehicle from outside of the store, and then proceeded to abandon the vehicle in front of a warehouse on Old Concord Lane. The vehicle was located because the Hopkinsville Fire Department found it engulfed in flames and it was a total loss.
No suspects are listed on the report, and the incident is being investigated as felony auto theft and first-degree criminal mischief.
