Local National FFA Week festivities may have been impacted by severe weather, but the chapter at Christian County High School still found time to celebrate agriculture.
The 2025 National FFA Week began on February 15 and ended February 22, but due to flooding and snow, the chapter had to postpone their events for the following week.
Cheyanne Rodgers, president of the Christian County FFA chapter, says their members weren’t going to let the snow stop them from building connections with new members and their agriculture community.
Rodgers says the chapter started the week on February 24 with a ceremony to celebrate the active members and closed the week out on February 28 with speech preparation at Murray State University.
Rodgers says the week has always been about making connections, whether with new members or the agriculture community in Christian County, but she used this week as a time to reflect on her four years in the FFA program and the growth she has undergone.
On behalf of the Christian County FFA, Rodgers thanks the community for their support as they advocate for agriculture.
