Governor Andy Beshear announced a Cadiz woman as the winner of March’s New Kentucky Home giveaway at Thursday’s Team Kentucky Update.
The “New Kentucky Home” initiative launched in November 2024, and Beshear says it serves to reintroduce Kentucky to the world, increase economic investment, attract and retain talent and increase tourism.
Beshear invited citizens to fuel the initiative by posting on social media. Folks can participate by posting about their love for the state with the hashtag #NewKyHome. Then each month, someone who posts with the hashtag will win a free, two-night stay at a Kentucky state park.
This month’s winner was Erica Bivens of Cadiz who posted a picture of herself at the Persnickety Pig in Cadiz.
