The Kentucky Farm Bureau completed the 2025 Beef Expo and received more than $700,000 in total sales.
The Kentucky Department of Agriculture commented on the event saying this year’s Beef Expo saw a decrease in sales compared to the previous year, but the average sale per lot increased from $695 to $3,369.
During the junior show, 266 cattle from nine states, including 192 from Kentucky, moved through the show ring. The Expo set a new record during the week, reaching an all-time high of 156 exhibitors showing livestock.
Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell says, “Cattle are one of Kentucky’s top livestock. As the largest beef cattle state east of the Mississippi River, the Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo showcases that year after year.”
