A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for wanton endangerment and theft on Friday.
Forty-six-year-old James Phillips Jr. of Hopkinsville was arrested on January 19 for reportedly stealing a trailer containing equipment belonging to the Bud Hudson Youth Football League. Phillips was indicted for theft by unlawful taking of property valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
As officers attempted to arrest Phillips, he reportedly fled which led to a vehicle pursuit that reached speeds of up to 100 MPH. After wrecking his car, Phillips attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended. He was additionally indicted for first-and-second-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton-endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving and many other traffic offenses.
Twenty-three-year-old Nautica George of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree wanton endangerment after she reportedly attempted to strike a man with her car at a gas station on December 1.
