Siemer Milling donates to Aaron McNeil House, Micah Mission for World Flour Day

Seimer Milling Company recently celebrated World Flour Day by donating to local non-profits that work to feed those in need in the community.

According to a news release, the theme of this year’s World Flour Day, which occurred on March 20, was, “Feeding the world starts with feeding your community. Let your actions speak.” Seimer Milling donated boxes of Swan’s Down Cake Flour to Micah Mission Center and the Aaron McNeil House in Hopkinsville, and made donations to other non-profits in Illinois and Indiana.

World Flour Day is observed annually and highlights the importance of flour as a staple food and emphasizes the responsibility of the milling industry in supporting their communities.

Officials with Seimer Milling says flour represents the foundation of food security for communities everywhere, and their mills help create economic stability for local farmers, community members and contribute to regional food systems that keeps thousands of families fed.
