Chick-Fil-A, Living Hope Baptist Church partner for coat drive

To keep the community warm as winter approaches, the Hopkinsville Chick-fil-A and Living Hope Baptist Church have partnered to host Coats for Chicken and encourage the community to donate coats to those in need.

Hopkinsville Chick-fil-A owner, Jeromy Thompson and Living Hope Baptist Church Pastor, Darrell Crawford appeared on WHOP to share how people can support their coat drive and get free coupons for chicken sandwiches while doing so.

Thompson says the idea for the coat drive came to him after one of Crawford’s sermons where he challenged the congregation to come up with ideas to help those who are in need.

The pair established Coats for Chicken where people can donate coats and for each coat they will receive a coupon for a free chicken sandwich from Chick-fil-A. Thompson says the support from the community has been great so far and plan on hosting the coat drive for around three weeks before they start distributing.

New or gently used coats for the drive can be dropped off at Living Hope Baptist Church at 6305 Eagle Way, Chick-fil-A at 4250 Fort Campbell Blvd and WHOP at 220 Dink Embry’s Buttermilk Road.
