Teenager in stable condition after being struck by car

A teenager was life flighted to a Nashville hospital after they were struck by a car while reportedly running across the road on Thursday.

According to Hopkinsville Police Department Public Information Officer Colette Marfil the accident occurred on Lafayette Road around 3:30 p.m. right after the school day ended. When the teenager ran across the roadway, they were struck by a vehicle which resulted in them sustaining a compound fracture to their lower leg.

The teenager was life flighted to Skyline Medical Center where they are in stable condition and there are no criminal charges pending against the driver.
