A second-grader from Muhlenberg County was recognized for his submission to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s annual Poster and Essay Contest.
Diezel Rager from Muhlenberg South Elementary School placed first in his grade level in the poster contest and will receive a $100 award from Kentucky Agriculture and Environment in the Classroom, Inc.
His poster will be displayed at the 2025 Kentucky State Fair in August in Louisville and he was invited to be a guest at the University of Kentucky versus Oklahoma University baseball game at Kentucky Proud Park.
This year’s contest theme was “Kentucky Agriculture Makes Me Proud”.
