A Clarksville woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 24 in Christian County Friday evening.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office report, a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Sheree Smith of Clarksville was heading eastbound on I-24 near the 90-mile marker when she left the left lane and dropped off the left shoulder for an unknown reason. The vehicle collided with the 90 mile-marker sign and approximately six metal support beams before coming to a stop.
Smith told officers her tire had blown out, causing the wreck.
A subpoena for blood alcohol results was requested by the sheriff’s department.
Smith was transported to Tennova Healthcare for treatment of injuries.
