CCPS searches for vendors for inaugural Career Expo

The Christian County Public School system is preparing to host their first-ever Career Expo for ninth graders across the district, and they are searching for local employers to spotlight their line of work for students before they choose their career pathway.

CCPS offers student career pathway courses which becomes a part of student’s curriculum during their second year of high school. A news release from CCPS shares that they would like to give students the opportunity to learn more about career fields they may be interested in going into a pathway for.

Businesses are invited to set up informational booths regarding their field and would like for vendors to bring a hands-on activity for students to be able to visualize and grasp concepts of what each career on display looks like.

The news release shares that they still need more vendors for the Career Expo and those interested can register here. The career event will be at the James E. Bruce Convention Center from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on January 31.
