Joy Closet to host lemonade stand to support the Hope House

Progress continues on the Joy Closet’s Hope House and on Saturday the community is invited to get some lemonade and learn more about how the Hope House.

Joy Closet is a Hopkinsville based nonprofit focused on supporting foster care children and foster families in the Pennyrile region by providing them with need-based donated items such as clothing, toys and sanitary products.

In 2023, Joy Closet Executive Director, Heather Gray announced their plans for the Hope House. The Hope House will offer temporary lodging and accommodations to children who have been removed from their home while DCBS workers find placements for them.

Gray says the Hope House team will have a lemonade stand outside of The Little Things Boutique at 3020 Fort Campbell Blvd on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Gray says the lemonade stand will be a chance for people to learn more about the Hope House and donate to its completion.

Along with the lemonade stand, Gray says they have launched the Joyful Tee Club a subscription club offering exclusive monthly t-shirts. Folks can register at joyfulconsignment.com and this month’s t-shirts are Fourth of July themed.

Funds from the subscription club will go toward Joy Closet’s mission. More information about the nonprofit and the Hope House is available at joycloset.org.
