The Cadiz-Trigg County Tourist and Convention Commission is celebrating after county tourism generated $31.2 million in economic impact in 2024.
According to the commission, Trigg County saw significant gains in tourism last year. County tourism reportedly supported 216 jobs, generated $5.7 million in labor income and made $2.1 million in state and local tax revenue.
Commission Executive Director Beth Sumner says tourism is not just about the dollars, but is about pride, local jobs and welcoming people to experience what makes Trigg County so special. She also says she is thrilled with the continued growth and looks forward to what’s ahead.
Trigg County is a part of the state’s Western Waterlands region which generated $940 million in tourism revenue last year. Overall, the state received $14.3 billion in tourism revenue in 2024.
