Search efforts underway for man who went missing under the water in Marshall Co.

The Marshall County Rescue Squad and numerous other agencies are resuming search and recovery operations this morning at Johnathan Creek, after a person was lost under the water Wednesday.

According to the rescue squad, crews responded to Johnathan Creek where a woman had been yelling for help. Preliminary investigation determined that a man and a woman had stopped their boat to jump in the water and swim and their boat floated away. The woman was able to make it to the dock, but then man went under the water while swimming to the dock and never resurfaced.

Agencies will resume their search Thursday morning.

South Marshall Fire Department, East Marshall Fire Department, Fairdealing Fire Department, McCracken County Rescue and Emergency Management, Lyon County Search Team, Ky. Fish and Wildlife, Marshall County EMS, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Marshall County Coroners Office, and Marshall County Emergency Management were all assisting at the scene
