With unseasonably cool temperatures in store for this week, especially at night, it’s going to feel like the first hints of fall weather-wise.
It’s been dry recently across western Kentucky and that looks to only continue this week, with Meteorologist Sean Poulos with the National Weather Service in Paducah saying near zero chances for rain are in the forecast for the majority of the week and even into the weekend, setting up a solid Labor Day Weekend.
That does mean our drought conditions—if you can believe it, with the rain the area had earlier in the year—are quickly developing, including now in Christian, Todd and Trigg counties.
But the main story in the weather this week is just how pleasant it feels outside, with temperatures hanging out in the upper 70’s and lower 80’s, and Poulos says they could drop all the way down into the 40’s at night.
In the 8-to-14-day outlook, it’s look liking the trend will continue at least for now, with below average temperatures possible and about normal chances for rain.
