Extended closure to start next week for Gate 7 to allow for repairs, flood mitigation efforts

Updates and repairs are coming to Gate 7 on Fort Campbell, but that will result in a closure to that gate starting on Tuesday.

It will be an extended closure, according to a news release, and will allow for repairs in the area and for work to be conducted that will hopefully help reduce the impact of flooding at that gate. Similar repairs will take place on Ripcord Road.

Commercial vehicle traffic, including food trucks, will proceed to Gate 10 to access the installation. School buses bringing student-athletes from schools off-post to compete in sporting events on Fort Campbell will proceed to TC Freeman Gate. RVs and campers can use any gate during the closure. Gate 5 will be open 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and will close weekends, holidays, and training holidays during the closure.

Officials will announce the start date for the Ripcord Road repairs about two-weeks before work begins.
