HCC’s Pathfinder Cruise-In set for this Saturday

Hopkinsville Community College is gearing for their third annual Pathfinder Cruise-In set for this Saturday, and the community is invited to attend.

Admission is completely free to attend and see some very cool cars, with numerous car awards up for grabs in several categories, including Chevy, Chrysler, Ford, Orphan and the Student and President’s Awards. Organizer and Coordinator of Continuing Education and Community Services at HCC, Lanita Wilson, appeared on WHOP recently to share about all they have planned.

She says the fun starts at 12 p.m. on Saturday on the campus of HCC at 720 North Drive in Hopkinsville, and it’ll go to 4 p.m. with a full line-up of classic cars.

Wilson says this Cruise-In started as a way to bring people back to the campus after the pandemic, and it was such a hit, they’ve kept it going.

The awards that will be presented were designed and then physically created by HCC’s Digital 3D Printing and Computerized Machining and Manufacturing students. Kadn Butler with that program says these trophies are unique and really show off the skills of their students.

There will be give-a-ways, food trucks and a DJ on hand—if you’d like to register a car to take part or donate a prize, contact Beverly Allen at 270-707-3750.
