Southern States Petroleum Co-op has been operating in Hopkinsville since 1948, and on Thursday, members of the co-op will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of being at their Canton Pike location.
Southern States originally opened at a location on Wooldridge Road and General Manager John Camp says they moved to Canton Pike in October of 2005 and the location came with a lot more space for them to expand their operations.
Southern States offers the home delivery of propane, gasoline, and diesel in Hopkinsville, Cadiz, Princeton, Trenton, Guthrie, Crofton and other surrounding areas.
Thursday’s celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and during that time, Camp says they will be offering discounted gasoline and grill tank prices, door prizes, lunch and ice cream from Heather’s Homemade Ice Cream.
Southern States is located at 5475 Canton Pike in Hopkinsville.
