Local Chamber of Commerce hires new marketing, events director

Kaylee Upton has joined the Christian County Chamber of Commerce as the organization’s new director of events and marketing.

The Chamber of Commerce announced that Upton joined their team in Monday’s weekly newsletter. Upton is a Christian County native and graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Upton previously worked at the Bruce Convention Center as a sales administrative assistant and the newsletter shares that her background in customer service, marketing and event planning aligns perfectly with the chamber of commerce’s mission to connect, promote and grow local businesses.

Upton says she is honored to join the chamber of commerce and is excited to serve the community that helped shape who she is. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Taylor Hayes says Upton’s energy, professionalism and experience in event planning and marketing will be tremendous assets as they work improve member engagement and their community partnerships.

Upton began her role with the chamber of commerce on October 27.
